About Madison County Fairground

A Mountain Tradition

Since 2005, the Madison County Fairgrounds has served as the gathering place for our mountain community. Established with support from the North Carolina Tobacco Trust Fund Commission, the fairgrounds have grown into a 6 acre venue hosting everything from livestock exhibitions and tractor pulls to concerts and holiday celebrations.

Surrounded by the Great Smoky and Blue Ridge Mountains along the banks of the French Broad River, our fairgrounds honor the agricultural heritage of western North Carolina while embracing new traditions. Generations of families have walked these grounds, shown their prize animals, entered their best preserves, and danced to mountain music under the autumn stars.

Whether you're a lifelong resident or visiting the mountains for the first time, the Madison County Fairgrounds welcomes you with the warmth and hospitality this region is known for.
